Facts and Questions

Our festival is held at Shawnee Mountain Ski Area. It is an outdoor venue. It is located on a mountainous area were there are some natural shade trees and lots of large shaded tents with picnic tables for all to dine on garlic laced food. The festival is an annual event held always on Saturday and Sunday, Labor Day Weekend, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Admission Price four stages of continuous live music, family entertainment, demonstrations, farmer garlic growing seminars as well as children's craft activities and petting zoo. Over fifteen local farmers will be selling their garlic and other produce. In addition to local artists, that sell everything garlic; shires, soaps, watercolor paintings, ceramics, oils, jewelry and much more! Festival goers can purchase a large array of garlic infused prepared foods and beverages at a nominal cost. Prices range from $2 to $12 depending on the items, some vendors encourage garlic sampling!

Parking is Free with a shuttle that runs through out the day from parking lot to festival grounds.


Public Transportation is not available, but both Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort and Fernwood Resorts provided a shuttle service for guests

For your comfort: Wear comfortable shoes to walk on lawn, compact dirt and asphalt. Dress in layers, here in the Pocono's mornings can be coo, afternoons are sunny. A sports hat, sunglasses and sun screen are suggested. Children's strollers are suggested, rentals are not available.

Please Remember; Shoes and shirts are required.

Handicapped and Disabled Access: The parking lot is graded multi tiered with lots of compact dirt. Please ask the lot attendants for toward handicap parking. From there guests will be shuttled to gates. The festival grounds are mostly asphalt with some lawn and compact dirt. There are handicap restrooms facilities in the ski lodges. Each port potty area also include handicapped facilities. There are plenty of shade under tented areas, that have tables and benches to rest.

The Pocono Garlic Harvest Festival is a celebration of food, fun and families. It is the PGHF policy to provide a safe, family-friendly atmosphere for all festival patrons, volunteers, vendors and staff. Shawnee Mountain Ski Area rules prohibit bringing any of the following items into the festival grounds.
  • alcohol of any kind
  • bottles, glass and cans
  • pocketknives and weapons of any kind 
  • dogs and/or any other type of animals (excluding service dogs with proper id) 
*If anyone brings any of these above items you will be asked by security to kindly leave the grounds. We suggest to leave any items not allowed on grounds locked in your vehicle. 
** There are no kennel facilities available at Shawnee Mountain Ski Area
